The "Giving Tree" is a volunteer opportunity to financially underwrite needed classroom and school items not a part of the regular GHLS budget. Items include field trip transportation costs, educational activities and games, arts and craft supplies, classroom library books, athletic equipment, science experiment materials, etc. At the beginning of the school year, a special bulletin board was in the main church/school lobby (see below) which listed "Giving Tree" items and the process for making a donation. For the remainder of the school year, "Giving Tree" items will be noted in the bi-weekly school newsletter.
Every year, the Lord lovingly blesses the "Giving Tree" effort with many generous gifts. GHLS thanks everyone who is moved by the Lord to make a donation. Without such help, the GHLS ministry would not be as strong as it is.
